I'd have to partly disagree with you on this.... Yea.. most good music is now dead, and punk rock did for the most part die off in the 80's... but there are still a few good punk bands around.... Not many.. but a few....
Street Dogs, Lars Fredrickson and the Bastards.... to name a couple

for the most part... it all got replaced by this gay **** called emo.... where the boys look like girls... I'll be damned if im gonna let some 120lb little bastard in tight jeans and a pink sweater try to man up to me.... Its fun though to see these tools try to get tough and end up getting their asses handed to them....
