i was helping out phokur on installing some st202 fogs on his 95 6gc.....i was thinking some ppl might need the advice on installing teh same fogs too...
what u need: 10mm socket screwdriver wire connectors (waterproof preferred) wire crimp electrical tape jack jack stands fuse taps (optional, if you're wiring thru your fuses) wireless remote controlled wiring switch kit(optional, ive included this with phokur's purchase) time involved: 1-1.5 hours depending on mechanical experience (installing fogs alone) 1. yea its very easy.....first off u can mount the brakcets without removing yoru bumper..but i found it VERY hard.....i would recommend on removing yoru front bumper.....heres a how-to to remove yoru bumper: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=28434 2. you can jack yoru car up and put it on stands to do this, but i didnt when i did this....once you have your bumper off....ull notice your crash bar.....take yoru brackets n match it up with the holes under the bar....ive used one 10mm bolts on each side to screw on teh crash bar....on teh other holes (2 on each bracket) ive used a bolt/nut screws to make it secure thru teh hole on crash bar...its hard to explain but..u need (2) 10mm bolts, (2)bolt/nut screws...hope im not being too confusing... 3. once you've mounted your brackets, its now time to mount yoru fogs onto the brackets....before mounting onto teh brackets, put your fog light bulb in...on each bracket side ull see 2 holes n one screw hole for your fogs.....kinda place it flush with teh 2 holes n start screwin to the bracket....ull figure this one out if u have mount yoru brackets liek this: 2 holes pointing towards teh tires and teh screw pointing towards the radiator.... 4. ok now for teh hard part, wiring........first run yoru wires inside the crash bar..and leave 2 single wires to reach to the fogs.....a black, and white wires are required to wire up to your fogs......on yoru fogs....teh black os always the neg/ground wire...and teh otehr color is pos/power......theres a wireless remote control module...mount it anywhere thats secure...ive mount it insdie teh crash bar along with all teh excess wiring......ok now yoru almost done......wire teh red wire to a power source.....ive opt to wire it to the ign fuse in teh fuse panel inside teh car...taht way when i turn the car on, i turn the fogs on with teh remote..and when i turn off teh car teh fogs shut off too.....or u can mount the red wire to the + side of the battery and u can turn it on/off regardless if teh engine is runnign or not.....all teh other black wires should go to yoru chassis ground or to your - side of yoru battery.....check the fuse making sure theres no broken diodes....and your set.. or you can follow how batman wired his fogs if u dont wanna wire it with the wireless remote controlled switch....(which i think is way better than my method) ![]() now ur finished, test it out, and go back teh steps if your still having problems.....re-install your bumper n let em rip!!! if u have nemore questions on install...lemme kno.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i wanna thanks batman for letting me know on the basics of wiring fogs.... sorry i dont have any pics of the install but ull get thru it...also, u can switch steps 3 & 4 around..it all depends on how you like to do teh install...its a simple task that any1 can do.... wink.gif if i left anything off plz post up....hope this helps.. ![]() -------------------- ![]() |

Yes they can, but you still have to run your own wiring. -------------------- One o'dem crazy Canadian freaks, eh?
