So after having my car for just over 2 years...and for the first time...the FIRST TIME...my check engine light went on frown.gif Have no clue of what happened either. I was driving down a side road, takin her easy and it went off. Im gonna hook her up to a scanner tomorrow and see what the code is/how to clear it. Hope its nothing thats gonna cost me $. Ive already spent enough $ on my car in the last month.

yeah I had the same exact problem. I replaced it with a different EGR and vaccuum module and it still didn't fix my problem. what DID fix my problem was pulling it off, and cleaning out the hose as well as the two ports. intake and exhaust. get some carb cleaner and Q-tips. it's easiest to get to if you pull the intake and throttle body out. then, after you're done, pull the EFI fuse for 30 seconds to reset your codes.

How long did it roughly take you to pull the egr off?? Im thinkin if i got some free time this week between studying for exams, ill pull mine off and clean it up.

first time I did it took me maybe an hour and a half or so, taking breaks and stuff. but when I went back to take it off a second time, I got the intake, throttle body, EGR, and the hose from the EGR off in under 15 minutes. depends how well you know your car.
