I would give the motor more time than that - seriously. It's not so much as it needs to break in seeing as it's a used motor. It's just that you are getting a motor that was most likely involved in an accident plus you just really have no way of knowing if the motor really only has 36K on it. I would wait probably at least a month and constantly be listening to it and feeling it and checking for signs of problems before racing it.
