Anyone have any info on removing the EGT probe on a JDM 3S ? Not unscrewing it laugh.gif, eliminating it completely. Or could I just zip tie it somewhere in the engine bay ? New down pipe I'm getting doesnt have a bung for this JDM probe.

Thanks guys
DEF

someone should point this out to berk. im willing to bet he would revise the pipe to include the sensor.

does it still have the 2nd o2 port for a wideband?

The JDM EGT sensor is not so much a sensor as a switch. At a certain temp, it closes the circuit. Unplugging it completely causes no problems. The sensor is for the cat, not the motor - and when the cat is gone, there is no need for the sensor.

Anybody serious about performance will have an aftermarket EGT gauge installed to see real temps anyway...
