Im looking for a home defense shotgun and i've narrowed my choices down to a mossberg 590 and the remington 870...which one is the better gun???

But i will tell u what if some1 broke in my place and ne1 of my family was in neway shape or form in danger or risk of their lives that guy will get it. Send me to jail when im done but when it comes down to it ne1 on this sight would do the same thing if it came to family. No matter what country u are in.

i think 870 is gonna be the one i pick. I totally agree with you, if someone came into my home and endangered my family i'd definiately teach that punk a lesson he wouldn't soon forget.

My neighborhood ain't bad...its just i don't want to have to depend on cops coming to the rescue, they don't have the best track record in my city (not that cops are bad tho, just a LITTLE SLOW). Im not buying the gun with the intention to shoot anybody, im buying it for added protection and peace of mind. Is it wrong for me to want to defend myself should something happen???

i agree i see what you're saying now, i misread your posts before.
if you don't already have a security system, you might want to look into that, it'll provide even more protection and assurance which it seems you are looking for. and no i dont feel that it is wrong for someone to defend oneself.
