Im looking for a home defense shotgun and i've narrowed my choices down to a mossberg 590 and the remington 870...which one is the better gun???

Like my dad always taught me, its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Hence why we have two, 30 gun safes full of various beauties.
