Im looking for a home defense shotgun and i've narrowed my choices down to a mossberg 590 and the remington 870...which one is the better gun???

I personally am happy in the knowledge that almost all of the people i come into contact with do not have access to guns.

Part of the reason you feel the need to protect your home with guns is because it's so easy for every joker to get hold of one to rob you with.

Most of the people in the UK will never see a gun.

I think that's a good thing.

yep so i rather pop the joker in the face with my gun b4 he gets a chance to pull the trigger in mine. Its called protection can never have enough. Ur prolly the guys that walks down the street everynite singin to ur self walkin a poodle thinkn the world is perfect. Ur wrong dude u need protection just for the fact that ppl art jerk offs and u can under estimate ne1. Or the one dooing the robbing with the weapons and thats y u dont want others to have em. The problem with guns in protection is the "perfect scenario" where people explain the use of a gun in home protection, well, has to be perfect. I have to say, if somebody break into your house, just run away, that dude might have a gun or a knife, but if you're "stupid" enough to risk your life over personal belongings in your house, you should rethink values of life, seriously. Educate your kids to get out of the windows like when the fire alarm goes off...etc. Its not because its part of your constitution, your rights, that's it’s something "smart". There is better alternative out there than shooting whoever's in your house.
