Hi guys,
I thought I had solved my first start problems last fall when I had the my swap done, by cleaning out the Idle control valve. But it has return with the warm weather. Here is my problem: All winter, car starts fine with no problem at all. Now with the warm weather (above 65 degrees), when I first start the car it will start (at a low rpm 500) and slowly within a matter of 3secs stall. But if I start it up right away, it will start and run fine as if nothing is wrong. This seems to be happening with warm weather and the other thing is it ALWAYS ALWAYS starts fine on the second attempt, ALWAYS. I never have to start it more than twice. Also on first start ups when it is about to stall, if I lightly tap the gas pedal and let go, it will continue to start and run without stalling on me.
I read the cold start problem thread and now I'm wondering if my problem is the CSI or the coolant tempt sensor or something related to fuel? I have cleaned out my throttle body and the Idle control valve but to no avail. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Ive never had any luck with cleaning the IAC. If I were you, Id clean the throttle plate. If that doesnt fix it price a IAC at toyota. Or get a used one
