I want to have an exhaust system like my boyfriends firebird trans am 2000 cat-back exhaust system. But is that possible with a four cylinder? I have seen a celica with dual exhaust on cardomain.com but would it affect my fuel economy more than 10 mpg or would it sound terrible or would it mess up my engine and what not...? Thanks...

No, it won't sound any better... Yes, it WILL affect your back pressure, especially more so since you have an ST. DustyBurns30: Yes, a Y setup is how this works... If you guys don't care too much about loss in performance (since these economy motors don't have much to begin with), then go for it. You won't gain much, but you won't lose much either... The dual setup is mostly for looks for our cars... |
