 out of gas, what are you gonna do? |

i was reading about how fast the world consumes fossil fuels, and it has been estimated that we will run out of oil in 20 years.
so what are you gonna do when gas is 10 dollars a gallon, or when we are out of gas? |

by then I think we'll have a different feul source...
Ive done reports on hydrogen powered cars, there's electric cars, even a car that runs off air... O_o yeah crazy huh? Watched a show on it awhile ago. Some french guy invented it lol technology is amazing... --------------------  2003 Nissan Murano SE |

Yeah same, iv'e done a few reprts/papers on different fuel sources and how the carbons from gas are declining our environment, kind of interesting what you can find online  btw that show is called "Future Cars", a series they had on the Discovery Channel not that long ago. Pretty cool show and very informative! Of course now the only problem is getting people to purchase that technology. I mean not everyone will want to/ can afford to have a few thousand dollar system put into thier car that allows them to run on some other form of fuel. personally, i kind of wish my car was a diesel, because then i could spend a couple thousand on this one machine, i forget what its called, but its cool because it allows you to make your own biodiesel from just left over greese and such. -------------------- "A true car enthusiast can see the potential in any car"

I don't think you need a special thousand dollar machine to convert used grease into biodiesel. I watched a show once, with an old '86 mercedez benz out of the junkyard. They went to a local resturant and picked up a few pails of used grease, went and filtered it a bunch of times (getting progressively finer, ending up filtering a few times with a coffee like filter for the final few) and poured it into the gas tank and the car ran fine, for a junkyard find running on non-processed (other than filtering) used cooking grease... I wonder how the kyoto accord up north here is going to affect petroleum drilling/processing if the canadian gov't decides to comply... |
