I am considering picking up a pair of JDM taillights (since I'm on a roll ordering parts), but I was wondering how people went about modding their lights to remove the amber lens? I think it looks way better, but I've never really worked with taillights in the past. Do you need to break the lens out or can you remove it in 1 piece?

Also, I've heard that the wiring harness on the JDM lights doesn't match the harness on the USDM cars and need to be wired manually, or is there an easier way? Can you order a USDM harness and match up the wires? I'd rather not hack off the harness from my existing lights.

I seem to remember there was a thread on the U.K forum about a year ago with a great illustrated guide of the procedure for cutting the back of the casing. I'll see if I can find and post the link smile.gif

Has your car ever been on T.V? Mine was used in the opening sequences here - note the clear turns and front LED's
