 Egr Resistor mod, Where to put the resistor? |

Hey guys, So my engine threw a EGR malfunction code last week, and i don't wanna shell out $90 for a new egr valve. I've read your guys have put a transistor in the EGR sensor and had success. I have a 97 7afe, and can't figure out where the egr sensor is. For the resistors, i've bought 4.7k ohm resistors, but they don't really help if i don't know where to put them. Anybody know? thanks

try cleaning your egr filter first. you will find the egr on the intake manifold near the firewall.
 see where the all those vaccuum line are near the airbox resinator thing. Well that is the egr. I assume the senser is also in that area. remember, the resistor will only remove the check engine light. your car will still fail smog, and pollute the air. |
