today i called a local engine shop and asked how much for an engine the guy told my 1200 bucks for a remanufactured engine and thats with me giving him mine 2. i have a 2.2 5sfe with 155,000 miles on it. so whats the difference with a remanufactured engine and a rebuilt engine i wanna turbo it 2.. isint the same thing?

your engine has another 75k in it easy. If I were you I would just save and do a 3sgte swap. At least then you have a tried and true upgrade path, not to mention it would be a bit more reliable (unless you are going to pay for a great tune on a 5sfte)
