alright my 7A has been smoking really bad lately and i have been burning a lot of oil, i was thinking it was my oil ring on my pistons but how can i be sure? and if thats what it is, how hard is it to change the rings out?

Maybe, maybe not.
I'll second the valve seals.

Is it me or does there seem to be alot of 7As with oil burning problems?

Just a note.
A compression test [or a leakdown test] won't really show worn/clogged oil control rings.
It will show worn compression rings [# 1 and 2].

I'm not telling you that you shouldn't do a compression test, just be aware a test with good results doesn't mean your oil rings are good.
