Well, it took 3 fuses for me to figure out it's not my fault (directly, at least).
I decided to take out the mp3 deck and replace it with the stock toyota celica 2 din cd/stereo/cassette deck. New harness, etc etc. But when I turn on the stereo, the courtesy door lights/map light/clock goes off. This turns out to be the 10A mini fuse being blown. At first, I thought it was being blown when I was moving wires and harnesses around, but after this 3rd time, I'm pretty sure the fuse goes right when I turn on the stereo. Any ideas? I'm sorta clueless about this type of electrical stuff. |

SOunds like a wire is loose somewhere in your connections.... Usally this happends if another wire is touching another wire, or possibly a wire is lose and touching a metal panel grounding itself out. Triple check all your wires. If you are pluging back in the stock deck then there should be no wiring harness's involved should be plug and play ...let me know.
