mmm... not sure I'd want it resting against the alternator. Couldn't that cause problems? I mean, installing it, all you do is loosen the adjusting bolt and tilt the alternator back to get the header on right?

I did get the header in position by loosening a bolt on the alternator, set aside the belt to lift it up, put the header in place, then when I am about to put everything back, it seems that there is just no space left to squeeze everything up. Could it be possible that my alternator set up is just too close to the header? Are all engine components spaced the same for Toyota cars? I might be missing something...
