First off, i know this question has been asked several times before, but i was speaking with a friend about swapping my engine, and i told him it would be a direct swap for my celica GT and he is a mechanic and said i could probally get it swapped for aroud 400 dollars, now is this true, and if so how much could i find a 3rd or 4th gen 3sgte for? Also are the 3sgte's the same in mr2's or does it have a diff tranny/motor mounts? Thanks for the help everyone

sigh sigh sigh, hit the search button. You could pick up the 5th gen 3sgte st-185 for about 2k. www.jarcoinc.com
The 6th gen celli 3sgte st05 would run 3500 to 4000. The tranny isnt gonna bolt right up cauz they are awd cars. motor mounts on a gt will line right up, and the mr2 is not the same engine. Hope i helped
