Its sad that the most exciting playoff series has to end up this way. For those that don't know, the Suns and Spurs got into a lil scuffle at the end of Game 4 where the Suns were winning and had the game in the bag. Nash takes the inbounds pass and gets hipchecked into the announce table by Robert Horry. Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw left the bench area and immediately started to retreat and are now being penalized by the NBA for their action (or nonactions nontheless). So basically to sum it all up, the Suns (who were the victims in this game) gets penalized more for game 5 and it hurts the Suns more because the 2 players that got suspended for them are more valuable to their team. Poor Nash this series gets a busted nose, kneed in the groin and now gets hipchecked into the announce tables.
If i was Mike D'antoni, I would take my worst player and have him foul Tim Duncan hard to instigate a fight. If i was every NBA coach i would send out my worst player to foul the opponents star player. This is a bogus rule that must be changed. Any thoughts? Amare was top 3 in the NBA for technical fouls this year.... Only trailing to Rasheed if I remember right... He has an attitude... And me and my team were very close, but it's called discipline... Pure and simple... Also, you cannot make the direct corrolation between highschool fights and NBA fights. These guys are paid MILLIONS to go play a game... They sign their contracts agreeing to the rule, there's a players union to argue cases. I would also say there was an alcercation, watch the replay. Between Raja Bell at the beginning and then Nash jumping up, running to Horry and pushing him... That's an altercation

QUOTE(dustin15brown @ May 18, 2007 - 11:24 AM) Amare was top 3 in the NBA for technical fouls this year.... Only trailing to Rasheed if I remember right... Between Raja Bell at the beginning and then Nash jumping up, running to Horry and pushing him... That's an altercation Technicals this year mean NOTHING. This year, refs gave away the most technicals in league history...OF course that's another one of Stern's retarded emphasis (another way he';s abusing his power...giving refs way too much power). You'll get a technical for throwing your hands in the air, and if you consider that causing trouble, then i guess ur a perfect angel. Tim Duncan got into it with a ref this year. SO does that make Duncan a troublemaker? According to you i guess so. I remember the late 80's and early 90's...rivalries between the Lakers and Celtics. Pistons and Bulls. Isiah vs Jordan. Bad Boys vs Lakers. People remember those rivalries because of the fights and pushing and shoving and the intensity. If it was up to Stern, Jordan, Thomas, Bird, Rambis, Worthy, would have all been suspended of course. What a great rivalry that woulda been. The most memorable games in NBA history are those that have that kinda intensity. Thats why the NY Knicks and Miami Heat rivalries were so intense and so memorable. Now classic games in the NBA are distant memories...all thanks to Stern. And YOU made the corrolation first about high school basketball so dont turn that back around at me.
