I need some forged rods for my 7a-fe, i will be using wiseco forged pistons listed for a 4a-ge (same bore) but i need forged rods with a stroke of 3.36" or 85.5mm
i have searched for rods with that length and the closest i can get is 3.38"/86.0mm listed for a 2JZ-GTE. the length seems good but will the rods fit correctly? any help would be great. thanks, dustin |

well, so everyone knows, you cannot do any better than $700 for custom rods, the guy at race engineering told me that a $600 Wiseco honda rod is the closest one to mine and i would need to buy the matching honda crank and then get the parts machine quite a bit. so to make a long story short i will be leaving my 7a stock and saving up for a different car, especially since i found out that the performance transaxle is a no go. to say the least, im a little disapointed. thanks for all you guy's time and effort helping me along the way, but turboing the 7a is just not an option anymore, so i will be looking into either the 3s swap or just getting another car.
thanks again, DB |
