What is better? Auto or Manual..of course Manual is the best!
I got an automatic because the auto had lower miles..I want to get a new Celica to just make it manual but the miles are high and the price is overpriced. My girlfriend said if I am going to buy a car why buy another Celica... Is there any way that I can turn my auto to manual? Instead of buying a new car? Anyone in Southern California that could do it? |

Wasn't there just another 3 page thread on this same topic? Okay, the O/D isn't just a "4th gear". It works at every speed. Your car revs much higher in every gear with it off. Sure, manual's may go faster if you have a SKILLED driver. I''m not saying anything about people's driving skills on here, but I'm willing to bet that most people aren't as good as the S**T they talk. I can see teenagers on here grinding through their gears right now. Oh yeah, and neither an auto or manual ST can beat a Z28 or Trans Am. A base V-6 either one can smoke our car unless you've got serious mods. If you beat them in the "twisties" it's not because your car is faster, it's because the other driver sucks! There's no use arguing about an auto or manual in an ST econo-coupe, when the only difference with a skilled driver using a manual is marginal at best.
