Hello,
newbie Celica owner here.... (but long time Toyota owner) We just got a '95 ST liftback with the black/gray cloth interior and seats. I just bought black leather seats (complete and nice shape) locally, but I am now thinking that there was also a tan leather option. Was there? And, was there such thing as power seats and heated seats in the 6G? My '95 came with a '94 owners manual (someone crossed out the '94 and wrote '95 in black marker, like it helped or something). The '94 manual doesn't make any reference to different seat controls/options for different styles of seats, so I'm kinda thinking there's either cloth or leather and that's it. I put a "wanted" ad in the classifieds, but I'm not real sure what my chances are for finding tan leather. |

yes, there is a tan leather package available on some celicas. there are no power seats in any 6th gen. also according to my EPC some european celicas have the heated seat option. but i think that's wrong.
there are different cloth types and two leather types (black and tan). the european cars have a different leather pattern on their seats than the north american/japanese ones. imo, i prefer the black leather package over the tan package. QUOTE(azian_advanced @ May 26, 2007 - 6:35 AM) Also according to my EPC some european celicas have the heated seat option. but i think that's wrong. No, that's correct. Many Japanese Celicas have heated seat bases, switched on at the same time as the rear defogger. In the UK, the same circuit was used to defog the door mirrors instead. The UK Celicas had an option for heated seats (again just the bases AFAIK) but was instead switched via rocker switches just above the short shifter. I've only seen one UK Celica with this option fitted, and it was a Cabriolet (convertible). Edit: Okay, you already know this - it was your thread: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...l=heated++seats ![]() Page 28 of Owners manual part number 01999-20696, publication number OM20696E, printed in 1997. I assume this is the European edition manual. This post has been edited by BloodyStupidDavey: May 26, 2007 - 11:51 AM -------------------- Davey
