I went to a car show yesterday with good friends of mine. It was a nice turnout considering the amount of rain that fell when it first started. Mostly muscle cars and antiques, but there were two charged beasts there.
   My friends 89 SCC Saleen Mustang. Over 600hp.     He took first place in the special interest group. I was the only car in the "Tuner" class, so this is what I got.  1st place  I know what you're all thinking. But, a wins a win.

cool cool...Jeff, we should have an NY meet out at Haramin (sp) State Park...its alot like Bear Mountain, but more areas to go, and ITs just north of DWG in NJ.
edit/sidenote: Is that a vortech supercharger kit? Was that what was added to make the saleen mustang in 1989, or did he add that ON TOP of the amazing out of the box saleen performance? Also, whats his max boost? 7psi at like 5k? Yes thats a Vortech I believe S trim. I believe he is running 12psi of boost. If I remember correctly it has a 383 stroker motor. Not the stock engine, its fully built. I'll say it again, this thing reaches warp speed. I'll call him and confirm. -------------------- I will return one day. |
