when i start my 97 5sfe engine : sometimes it revs up and then just stalls , and other times it idls on very low RPM when it is supposed to be high ! and i had to press the gas pedal and rev it a lil bit untill it gets to normal .........whats wrong with it ? what can i do to maintina my engine and what kind of additives should i use to keep my engine running smoothly ....

Hoseclamps arent the problem , i noticed there are a couple of smaller hoses on there , one of them is a vacum hose , the other ... i didnt know and i dont like messing with things that i dont know what they do !

On the car I had the same problem with, I replaced the entire unit. It was connected to the inlet manifold if I recall. There were some bolts, hoses with clamps which had to come off and the main harness electrical connector which also had to come off. It was fiddly but I managed to get it swapped out in a couple of hours. I've no idea where it is on the Celi, plus I've got a 3SGE motor which is probably different to yours. If you do this work yourself, it doesn't matter too much if you know what each hose is for, just make sure you put everything back the way it was, label the hoses if necessary and make sure you connect them to the correct ports on the valve. You won't learn unless you give it a go...
