I'm looking at options to clarify the difference between coupes/fastbacks/notchbacks (I know they're both coupes technically, but most North American members associate the word Coupe with the Celica fastback/notchback, so coupe will have to stay) and hatchbacks/liftbacks. What do you guys think of this? Any input, especially suggestions to make this better or different ideas completely, would be appreciated. ![]() Edit: Re-Designed Page Preview Available Lower On This Page This post has been edited by Coomer: Jun 6, 2007 - 4:43 PM

Anyone who calls a coupe, a "fastback" or "notchback" should be slapped in the face.

QUOTE(Supersprynt @ Jun 6, 2007 - 9:26 AM) ![]() I would probably use unmodified rear ends (ie rear skirts not available in US might be confusing?) That's a good idea. ![]() QUOTE(gt_driFFter @ Jun 6, 2007 - 10:28 AM) Anyone who calls a coupe, a "fastback" or "notchback" should be slapped in the face. That's a very ignorant statement. ![]() Outside of North America, most people would call both the Celica fastback/notchback and Celica hatchback/liftback a coupe. Therefore, to be specific, the term fastback or notchback is necessary. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
