Theft ? Options

i Have alot of plans for my car , may not do everything but i am planing on alot ... anyways my questions is : Do any of you with a really moded DAILY DRIVER worry about theft ?? my friends have been terrifying me telling me that if i make my car look nice it will be more likely for it to get stolen ! so do any of you have any similar concerns ?

Several people have already said, if someone wants your stuff bad enough, they're going to get it. There's really no fail safe way to insure your car won't get broken into or stolen. BUT there's a lot of things you can do to make it less likely. Also remember that most of the time its just thieves that are looking for something quick to steal; very rarely are people actually out to steal your car. Here's what I did. I've got a customized CRX (know for being one of the easiest cars to jack) with a nice engine swap and sound system. So I got an alarm ($70) with a visible blinking light and vibration sensor, and wired it to my doors, trunk and hood. I locked my subs to a strut bar(no way is it coming out), and wired a kill switch to a place no one will find it. ($30). Needless to say, of course it's not fail safe, but for $100 I feel much better about the safety of my car. I'm also thinking about getting a steering wheel lock just for good measure. Suffice to say, don't let being scared about someone stealing your stuff stop you from customizing the car. Just spend a little on security and hope no one takes a particular fancy to just your car.
