 Stripped tranny drain plug, I always wanted one of those! |

I went under to change my tranny fluid today and totally stripped the drain bolt/plug. It's so narrow in that area I couldn't really get a good grip ( i don't know how I managed to drain it before...). Successive tries just resulted in more and more stripping, and now I can get the socket onto bolt, but it just slips off if I try and turn it
 . I apologize if this isn't the correct area to post this...and I did read as many of the other stripped screw/bolt threads as I could, but that area is so small that I couldn't really imagine any of those methods working too well for me. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm probably just going to have to bring it to my mechanic, but I thought I'd shoot you guys the problem first. Thanks, all input is appreciated.

uses vice grips and give them some nice taps with a hammer.
