I went under to change my tranny fluid today and totally stripped the drain bolt/plug. It's so narrow in that area I couldn't really get a good grip ( i don't know how I managed to drain it before...). Successive tries just resulted in more and more stripping, and now I can get the socket onto bolt, but it just slips off if I try and turn it

1st off... make sure your using a 6point socket...not a 12point.
a bolt out would get it off in about 1 sec. problem is they dont make 24m bolt outs ![]() dont drill it. metal shavings will get inside your tranny. try itchy's trick, or get a plumbers wrench. they are made for rounded surfaces. if all else fails, take it to a shop. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
