Found a ZERO RUST SPOT 1982 Celica Supra MKII L-Type.
Being a L-Type, it's got all the goodies - Digital gauge, moon roof, power everything from head to toes. Also being a L-Type, it doesn't have - LSD (awwwwwwwwww.....), factory moulded Fender flares (awwwwwwwwww.....), wider wheels and tires, racing seats, rear spoiler, top hatch shade...... Being a 82', it doesn't have - S-U-P-R-A sticker on the back of the car, color coded rear bumper, wrapped around front corner signal lights, and it's got the not-as-advanced-engine plus ECU (best year of the MKII is 85, 86), etc... Good thing about the car - ZERO Rust Spot, red colored interior, cloth interior (no tear), and fancy and super RARE fully loaded electrical features that ALL Celica Supra fans would die for (even thought they don't seem to be working correctly) Bad thing about the car - Lagging exterior aggressive styling of the P-Type, automatic tranmission, engine bout to die soon (at least that's what it felt like when i test drove it), squeeky suspensions, no hand brake (the dude broke it........), driver side power window doesn't work, driver side power door lock lockable but not unlockable.. but basicly the car drove like ****. Thought they already sold it, but the dude just emailed me saying he still have the car. Now the real question is.... is it worth $1200 (Considering I WILL turn this car into looking/running like a P-Type)? Let me know what u think! L-types are just as fun !
if it has NO RUST just the shelll is worthy US$1200.00 considering that those cars get rust really easy, also 1982 has the best engine for a turbo set-up, I know of a few members in celicasupra.com who switch their 85s engines for a 82 so thjey can turbo it wih better results. the L-type doesn't have LSD but the differential from a P-type will bolt just fine, and you can always do a Manual swap on the car. if you're planning to restore this car, I'd say do it. is getting harder and harder to find one with a decent body to work on. Also be advise that parts for these cars are not cheap either, but is all worthy at the end. BTW what color is it ? edited NVM took me a while to see the link. ![]() This post has been edited by Culpable04: Jun 8, 2007 - 8:54 AM -------------------- ![]() |
