is there an easy way of taking these out, without taking the brakes and rotors off?

you arent gonna get far with a rubber mallet, use a hammer and if you have a aluminum block so it wont mess up the studs but if your replacing them, use a heavy duty hammer...i had to use a sledge hammer when i used to work on deisels
