Hey guys this morning I was going to work I took the highway then exited off and came to a stop then noticed the passenger rear wheel area was smoking !? It looked like I did a burnout !! But I know our cars aren't RWD, their wasn't a good spot to pull over and I was running late to work so after work I came home and took the wheel off inspected everything looked normal even had a friend come check it out everything was normal. But I noticed it had that burnt rubber smell you guys know what I'm talking about.....any clue what that was ?? And I was going maybe 60mph on the highway. Also when I took the lug nuts off it burnt my hand @#$% !!!!!

it can either of two things.
1) rear bearing is dead. So its dragging causing the heat. 2) brake caliper frozen and rubbing against the disk the entire time.. have you tried to spin the wheel by hand, see if it rotates freely? |
