I need to find a rear GT (disc) caliper bracket for the passenger side. I believe it is reversable (sp?), so it doesnt HAVE to be the passenger side. But, the pass side would be nice. Condition doesnt matter a whole lot. All I ask is for the threads in ALL holes to be clean and usable. I dont want a repeat of what has happened over this weekend. I'm pretty sure that the threads are fubar. I was gonna rethread it with my dad's tap set, but the hole thats in there is a tiny bit off center. I don't think I'd be able to get that drilled on center again without a lot of luck. Maybe if I filled the hole in with some hardface weld, I could try to redrill. But the problem is, if I'm forced to go bigger, I'd also have to pull off that tube that's on the caliper and drill that out as well.
I've already tried the whole bolt remover thing. Snapped two removing bits in the process. And I also snapped off a titainium drill bit in the hole two. ToyotaCrazy: If you think you have the skill, be my guest. I have had nothing but trouble from that piece of ****. I'll see if I can post some pics for you. Its pretty screwed up. (No pun intended ![]() |
