i think its time for a new camera. i want something with more manual features, while keeping things at 300$ or less. what do you guys think of the canon s3? everything i read says its an amazing camera for the price. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

I have been using S3IS for over a year now.
It's one of the best all around cameras I have ever used. I love the ultrasonic lens and image stabilizer. The auto-focusing is very fast and precise. The movie quality is incredible. You can also zoom in/out while capturing a video plus taking a full resolution still shot. You can't beat 12x zoom and ability to focus at 0" in super macro mode  I have it with an adapter and Hoya UV filter. I can also put on a polarizer when needed. Mine without the lens hood.
