 Auto To Manual, curious |

OK, so i'm not definate on whether i'm going to go with an auto to manual tanny swap or not yet. However i am very curious as to how much the whole swap would cost...iv'e always had auto trannys in my cars and i think it might be time to switch it up and drive with a manual.
I drove my friend's Chevy S10 earlier today and i must say, it felt good to be able to shift. Then as i was driving my car back home, i realized that the automotic is just ehh. The only downsides i can see are having to get used to shifting, which comes with practice, and the fact that i live a city with a LOT of hills and traffic  .so, for those of you who have done a swap, do you know how much it would cost/ how hard it would be to o the swap myself? edit: also i wanted to turbo my 5sfe sometime down the line. So would there be any complications with shifting and turbo lag? my advice is to find someone with a manual car who will let you practice a little. I've driven a few members 6gcs that are manual and i feel more comfortable in them. i think because it's he same car.
