im wondering how to manually open/close the top. is there something you need to disconnect/release before you can do this, or do you just overpower the motors?
my motors are working fine, but i think i have a loose wire, as the top will open then stop (sometimes halfway...). I dont think its the motors because when the top wont work, the motors aren't making any sounds (like they are on) and it happens very randomly. When the roof is closed, and i push the "close" button sometimes I can hear them working and others no noise, so I will try and check for a loose wire, but until then how do i do it manually? |

First of all, I'm not sure i'd try to do it manually if your mtors do still work. There are already a few peole that have tried it manually and it just ended up killing thier motors because of the strain it puts on them.
I'd get your motors fixed first before trying to do it manually. But if you end up in a spot when you HAVE to do it manually, there is a switch in the trunk, right behind where the top would be when it's down that says "auto" and "manual", you just switch that to manual and you'll be able to put the top down without using the motors. -------------------- |
