im wondering how to manually open/close the top. is there something you need to disconnect/release before you can do this, or do you just overpower the motors?
my motors are working fine, but i think i have a loose wire, as the top will open then stop (sometimes halfway...). I dont think its the motors because when the top wont work, the motors aren't making any sounds (like they are on) and it happens very randomly. When the roof is closed, and i push the "close" button sometimes I can hear them working and others no noise, so I will try and check for a loose wire, but until then how do i do it manually? |

Its not the motors, as when the top stops working it just stops. If it were the motors I believe they "die" a little before they completely malfunction (they make noise, but dont put the top up as fast and/or need assistance to put the top up)
I will be taking the switches apart and cleaning the contacts/checking the grounds as thats what I (hope) think is the problem. Car has 124XXX miles on odo. This post has been edited by 6gsillyca: Jun 22, 2007 - 2:55 AM |
