hey all, i was looking online at some 3sgte clips and noticed how much cheaper the mr2t clips are then the gt4 clips that and i wouldn't have to get the tranny separate.
i know that there are some things diff between the gt4 3sgte and the mr2 3sgte. my Q is how much will have to be changed to drop it in my car? i have the gt so (from what i understand) i won't need to change the motor mounts. but other than the normal 3sgte swap stuff what extra will be needed to put the mr2 motor in?
if there is a thread about this already and someone know where it is please point me in the right direction.
thanks guys

so other than the rear st205 mount for the tranny there is no diff? it is pretty much the same motor? nothing else has to be relocated?
why was i under that impression. oh well.
thanks for the help guys

you were under the right impression. its basically the same motor, but there are a lot of little things that are totally different. for starters the wiring harness runs differently, the alternator, powersteering, ac, dip stick tube, etc....etc.. etc... all those little things have to be changed over. i wouldnt recommend and mr2 clip for your first swap.

search for "mr2 clip" . we had a few topics about this in the past.
