Windows ajar, wet car Ahhhhh! Options

Hey all, Iv been noticing sometimes my windows are not closing properly when i close my doors any one else seen this before.


do your windows go down a little when you open and then back up when you close them?

I have fixed the issue i hope so i though i would get some pics up for every one.

Step one:
Removing the inner door trim.



There are two plastic rivets on the trim near the lock, they should just pull out.
then their are about 4-5 screws on the bottom of the door.
next their are 2 screws on the door between the door and the dash usually underneath some matching caps.(I don't have mine) next remove the screw within the door handle insert this exposes the last screw.
Good to remember to take out your window and mirror controls and their is a connector for the light disconnect.
It sometimes is a little tricky but i find if you start lifting up from the end away from the mirror it should come out easier.

Step two:
Adjusting hight.


front stopper.

I did this first by reconnecting the window controls and lowering my window. When the window is down you are able to see the rubber stoppers that stop your window at a certain hight, Mine are quite worn and i think i will have to get some new ones soon.


Rear stopper.



these Stoppers are adjustable via bolts usually covered buy plastic.
It is quite easy to loosen the bolt a little and then tap it downward about 1-3mm.
you will not need more than that or you window will not seal properly anymore.

Step Three:
Finish Up

At this point you are really finished, but as always it is good to check for any problems.
If every thing ok just put it all back together.
