the switch in my door that tells the car if it is open is not working. i replaced the button itself but it didn't fix it. i am thinking i have a short or something. anyone else have this problem? how do i fix it? i am truly annoyed at this point. anyone? all help will be appreciated. thanks guys. edit: i have already taken apart the panels right there and don't really know what to look for. i will take some pics tomorrow morn. i am also having some issues with my seat belt. i am in the process of trying to get that fixed too. did you khow that they changed the seat belts from 94 to 99? if what i am going to do doesn't work i will ask more q's thanks for your help. QUOTE(alltracman78 @ Jul 7, 2007 - 2:38 PM) What it won't do [a short on the ground side] is make it work all the time. The switch still would need to be closed. ![]() You won't even know if you had a short on the ground side, unless you physically saw it for some reason. If there was a short on the ground side the circuit would be on all the time since it's ground switching. Doesn't matter what the switch does, it would be grounding thru the short hence on all the time.
