Tranny works like a dream but when im shifting down from 5th, it feels almost like the shifter is stuck in something and i have to apply a little more force then usual. There is no misshift, or sounds or anything, just the feel of it being stuck in something.
Is this something to worry about? Maybe just the shifter bushings being in bad shape? Im getting a TWM shortshifter installed in a week or so which will hopefully solve the issue. -------------------- "Modern weapons and ancient hatred, my kind of show"

check your links on the tranny and on the shifter to make sure they are in good condition,
When Chris asked about Rev matching...say i'm in 5th gear going 55mph ~3k rpm. When i down shift from 5th to 4th the RPM will be higher in 4th gear so you have to rev match, this is done by blipping the throttle(clutch in) when shifting between 5th to forth. This makes for a smooth transition QUOTE The goal of this shifting technique is to maintain equilibrium between engine speed and wheel speed so the drivetrain doesn't jolt while downshifting. |
