i like the alpine type R's i plan to get 2 12's in a vented box. with a boss 2000 watt class d mono block amp. comments or suggestions.

Yea JBL does make nice amps. Another amp you might want to look at are the MTX. You cant go buy the power output for these because they are very very under rated. Most amp companies rate there amps at 14.4volts but MTX rates theres at 12volts. Your battery in your car isnt allway going to be putting out the same volts it go anywhere between 11 to about 18 volts depending on how much of a draw is being put on it. With the better model MTX amps they will almost double there power at 14.4volts. As for the subs the Alpines are a very good sub and a nice price. JL subs are over priced and over played. Just so know MTX makes all the parts for JL. But they also make alot of the parts for alot of other companies too. Its cheaper for the other companies to buy them from MTX then to make them themselves. Just a little insight from someone inside the car audio world.
