you can paint cf hoods, you sand off the clear jelly, paint, and clear coat, just like any other hood except cf hoods have clear jelly as last paint coat. my bro has custom paint job on his 97 prelude cf hood, he has the two sides of the hood painted red and middle cf. looks sweet, almost looks like s2k hood, but on prelude
