Any known hub assemblies that can be directly swapped onto our celicas so we have a better choice of used wheels?

Buying new wheels is a total waste(70% anyways), and 5x114 seem to be way more common.

Alternateley, what do people think about adapters?

How cheap are you trying to go?
Don't you want your wheels to stay on the car?
I doubt you will find a pair of hubs for that cheap [definitely not brand new], never mind the wheel bearings.
They should also be changed if you change the hub.

I wondered this exact same thing. i wanted 5x114 hubs so i went to the junk yard and i there was a 6gc with no hub and camry which had the hub removed. I took the camry hub to the celica and they are very identical but the camry hub is just a bit too big! the bolts are spaced wider and therefore would not fit into the lower control arm. Also, the two holes for the shock tower are also spaced wider. Sooo..... no dice, unless you can redrill those holes to fit the celica, but i wouldnt recomend it



i went with a wheel adaptor 5x100 to 5x114. they fit great i got them custom made at www.wheeladaptor.com hope that helped


I already told you this in your wheel bearing thread, that is NOT the hub......
The hub is the piece that sits in the wheel bearing and has the wheel studs in it.
The assembly you are talking about is the axle carrier or steering knuckle....
By using the wrong names you gave the wrong advice.....


I don't know for sure if a Camry hub will fit a Celica wheel bearing, but you don't need to worry about it bolting to the strut or lower control arm, all it has to do is fit into the wheel bearing and fit the splined shaft on the outer CV joint.
