Thinking about getting an ebay header for my 94 ST, and wondered about the effect on fuel economy.
People have said that the ebay header moves power up into the higher rpms. Now, will less power in the lower band mean better or worse gas mileage for city driving? How about highway speeds? Also, how much does the ebay header weigh VS. stock exhaust manifold? Thanks |

They have those computers that you can hook up to your OBDII sensors, not sure how much they run tho. Most do math calculations, run close to empty, put X gallons, run close to emply again, Calculate miles from last fill up and divide by how many gallons were put it, you will need to do this 2-3 times to insure its accurate.

That's how I calculate my MPG, I just love cars that have the instantanious mpg display. Really cool for helping you figure out what works for getting good gas mileage. Any OBDI models available though? Not sure if the aftermarket would cater to the older standard at all. Might be able to scavenge something from an older "upscale" car(my parents 1993 Chrysler Town and Country has one built in). |

I went looking for the equivilent for the 3SGE a few months ago but looks like our ECUs don't bother calculating it - either that or it is on an undocumented ECU pin. -------------------- Davey
