Already searched the forum and found the next topics.
http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=26922&st=0 http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=6692&hl= Since both topics are more then 2 years old and I dont want to revive a topic like that, I made my own. My underbonnet insulation is crap, has tears around the lower part of the bonnet. Personally after reading the above topics a feel a little bit safer to remove the insulation and possibly the rainguard(maybe replace it with. But since those topics are that old I'd like a little but of confirmation of the GT-4/Swapped/Turbo'ed owners that replied then or new guys that can give a good anwser to the next questions. - Does the paint really stay good? (Mine is freshly painted 7 months ago) - I read something about Temperature Sensor going faulty but couldn't find any reason putting it in order with the removal of the insulation, can anyone confirm it won't cause problems like that? - Is it better to install heat reflective paint underneath the rain guard area or should it be fine? The insulation if prefectly fine to remove. Underhood temps won't burn or bubble or warp the paint. If that was true, all turbo car's rear bumpers would look like hell, by the muffler.
I'm unfimilar with the spoken of rain guard. pics? -------------------- NASA/SCCA RX-7....currently under the knife
