I was thinking about taking out my plugs tomorrow but I was wondering, when I put them back in, do I need to torque them in?

if you dont, tighten it untill it feels snug, then give it an extra little nudge...15Ft/lbs of torque is nothing. You can get that with a little 6inch long 10MM wrench on a valve cover without breakin a sweat. Just snug em up and give em another 1/8th - 1/4 turn more and your done..but dont forget the anti-sieze and the dielectric grease.
