Tools needed:
Needle nose pliers 2 Wire tap-in's Time Required: 5 minutes STEP 1. Remove the mute wire (yellow and black wire) from the AVIC-D3 harness with needle nose pliers. This is located on the output or "rca" harness. Do this by placing the pliers nearest to the harness, and gently pulling out. *** If you would like to retain the mute option you can go to radio shack and pick up a wire with the same end on it *** this wire should cost about 20 cents. STEP 2. Move this pin into the empty slot above where you took the mute wire from. STEP 3. Ground the wire you just moved (yellow and black wire) to main harness (black wire) with wire tap in. STEP 4. Ground the parking brake lead (green wire) to main harness (black wire) with wire tap in. *** Note - This technique for viewing movies while driving is strictly meant for Off-road use only. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by CaliJeff: Aug 2, 2007 - 2:29 PM -------------------- You say you don't understand how we go dumb, but have you ever been where i'm from?

Calijeff: try to post the pics soon to take like advise... i have a AVH-P6800DVD and i got the "video while driving option" by a switch grounded, wanna know if those tip could work on my head unit....
Second.... the worst Video system is the alpine; you have one wire to the E-brake and other to the brake pedal (in this case you could use 2 switches one to ground ando other to the +bat) -------------------- Celica ST202
