my engin light comes on sometimes then other times its off i took it to auto zone the say car is to old to connect comp. to they say i need to spen bout 75 for a diag. im not going to spend that much just to find it was an oxegen senser....witch is what i think it is car runs great....also has an open exahust if that makes a diff...if any one has info to what i could be plz tell so i can get on it i hate seeing engin lights

this wont short anything out or damage anything?..............is adjusting my timing only good if i use a higher octain fuel? what if i adjust timing and dont get higher gas...what other side effects is there if i tamper with this, thinking bout setting to 15........what is 91 fuel and up, where can i get it, all i know is unleaded, med unleaded, sup unleaded...i dont have a clue what the numbers mean......what would be the best to set it to i have a 2.2l from a 94 gt............and what is obd-1 and obd-2

edit: sorry for all the quistion...i thought i knew alot about cars but you guys make me feel lower then an amature......i just know how to take em apart and put em back together
