Some of you know I got the new car a couple of months ago, but I really wanted to transfer my bodykit from my old car to the new one, along with a little bit of modding. See what ya think.
Old car and bodykit on the left, new car on the right. ![]() Made a fibreglass mould from the new cars bumper scoop, and made a fibreglass copy of the scoop ![]() Bit of chopping, bit of bonding and filling later ![]() ![]() bit of paint ![]() and we have an almost finished product ![]() now just needs a good polish to buff the freshly sanded paint back to be shiny again. |

QUOTE(vsideboy @ Jul 26, 2007 - 7:42 AM) what would be preferable? Just a basic this is how to do a basic bit of glassing or this is exactly how I made it? Something that includes all the products and tools needed, including specific brand names you prefer. How to take a fiberglass mold of something. How to use that mold to make a fiberglass part. How to separate one from the other. How to affix to a plastic or metal panel, how to feather in the edges. Any other tips and tricks you've learned over the years. That's all I can think of at the moment. -------------------- Davey
