Heres what to do, If the Cig/Rad spade fuse in the panel
(drivers side by boot release) hasn't blown then your going to have to pull out the centre panel surrounding the gearstick gator. The female socket of the cig lighter has 2 connectors to it, one is the illuminator, the other is the power supply.Remove these and the centre panel should be free to move.Turn it round, heres the tricky bit. There is a tiny fuse attatched at the back of the female socket, it looks like a tiny tantalum capacitor. This will almost certainly have burned out.Its held in by 2 crimps.Your gonna have to bend these crimps, remove the fuse and replace with a short piece of suitable guage wire and press the crimps back to grip the wire.Reconnect all connectors and replace fittings.your cig lighter should work now, Jon |
